Certified Surgical Tech CST Full Time Days

We are seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team in the Main Operating Room in Ontario, Oregon. As a CST, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your expertise will be essential to the success of each operation, and you will work closely with surgeons and nurses to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize equipment to ensure a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures.
- Assist during surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring that all necessary equipment is available.
- Manage instrument, sponge, and sharp counts for all procedures in specialty areas and all procedures assigned outside of specialty.
- Independently function in at least one other specialty area, anticipating and prioritizing surgeon needs, and communicating with RN Circulator to obtain needed resources.
- Responsible for technical equipment and supplies, including inventory, usage, organization, and maintenance in own specialty area.
- Trouble-shoot equipment within own specialty to bring to resolution.
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the NBSTSA or as a Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by the NCCT is required.
- At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
- One year of scrub experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
