Medical Surgical Clinical Instructor, Full-time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Faculty Member to join our team at West Coast University. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a vital role in guiding nursing students to achieve their full potential and become exceptional healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide academic support and guidance to students, serving as a role model and facilitator in their learning journey.
- Teaching and Learning: Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process, applying your skills and experience to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Clinical Experience: Assume responsibility for students in clinical facilities, clarifying expectations and ensuring student safety and optimal care to patients.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in assessment activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of courses, curriculum, and programs.
- Scholarly Activities: Maintain a commitment to scholarly activities, advancing our focus on student success and healthcare professionalism.
- Professional Growth and Service: Engage in professional growth and service, aligning with university policies and contributing to the advancement of our innovative technologies and resources.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care, with a minimum of one year of experience in the field in which you teach.
- Education: A Master's degree in nursing, with professional nurse licensure required.
- Compliance: Compliance with state, federal, and local laws/regulations, as well as state Board of Nursing standards.
