About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Center Analyst to join our team at Beacon Hill Staffing Group. As a key member of our Cyber Security Operations Center, you will be responsible for the initial triage of security incidents, managing incoming alerts, and responding to security-related requests via automated workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responding to Security Alerts: Create and manage rules to ensure timely and effective incident response.
  • Triage Security Alerts: Identify and address potential threats to our systems and data.
  • Endpoint Detection and Response: Utilize tools like SPLUNK and antivirus software to detect and respond to security threats.
  • Procedure Writing: Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and effectiveness in our incident response processes.
  • Training: Conduct training sessions as needed to ensure our team is equipped to respond to security incidents effectively.
Breakdown of Responsibilities
  • 50%: Responding to tickets/alerts and incident triage.
  • 20%: Documentation and ticket handling, including writing incident reports.
  • 20%: Procedure writing, revising existing SOPs, and creating new ones. SOPs are reviewed annually.
  • 10%: Other responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • Experience with EDR tools such as Carbon Black, CrowdStrike, or Microsoft Defender.
  • Proficiency in using Splunk as a primary Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool.
  • Strong skills in incident response, triage, ticket management, and SOP writing.
  • Experience with documentation and Project Management tools like JIRA and confluence.
