Position Overview

The Patient Care Associate plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate and effective care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety under the supervision of healthcare professionals. This position is essential in fulfilling the mission and objectives of Essentia Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance to patients.
  • Support patients with their nutritional requirements.
  • Deliver comfort care and other necessary support.
  • Safely assist in the transfer of patients.
  • Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and report any changes in patient conditions to the supervising nurse.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment to aid in the healing process.

Educational Requirements:

Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program is required, or current registration on the relevant state nursing assistant registry at the time of employment.

Certification Requirements:

Must be currently registered and in good standing on the applicable nursing assistant registry. CPR certification is required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Work Schedule:

Shift Details:

Flexibility in shifts is required, including day, evening, and night rotations.

Weekend and Holiday Availability:

Work on weekends and holidays is expected.
