Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Care Coordinator to join our team at UCHealth. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our eye care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist eye care providers in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless clinical activities and effective use of medical instruments.
  • Perform basic ophthalmic testing procedures, diagnostic testing, medication administration, and tasks delegated by eye care providers with precision and attention to detail.
  • Support minor procedures and prescription refill processes under provider direction, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Document patient information, provide education, and enter charges accurately, ensuring smooth patient care flow.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills, make informed decisions, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant certifications such as COA, COT, or COMT. National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC) for contact lens technicians and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification are also necessary.
  • At least 2 years of ophthalmic training or internship experience is preferred, with BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer certified prior to start date.

Salary Estimate

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $65,000 annually, based on location and experience.
