NexTech Professional Services seeks a highly skilled Linux Data Storage Engineer to join our team.

Job Title: Storage Systems Administrator

The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper configuration of SAN/NAS, backup systems, and security of the datacenter. This position will provide daily monitoring and support administration for ensuring the healthy status, availability of IT Systems and infrastructure for all on premise and support for cloud-based programs & applications. The duties will also include managing development/sustainment, staging, production systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment. Key responsibilities include planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all servers and applications.

Job Requirements
  • A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or 7 years experience in system administration.
  • Experience with SAN technologies in a highly virtualized and converged environment.
  • Experience maintaining a high availability datacenter.
  • Seven years of progressive experience in serving as a system administrator for Microsoft O365, VMWare vSphere and NsX-T, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies and applications, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure.

Required Qualifications
  • Sec+ CE certification.

Desired Qualifications
  • Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash or Python).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Source Code Repository system, preferably GitLab.
  • Experience with implementing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery).
  • Experience with implementing STIGS, testing patches, certificates and encryption.
  • Configuring SolarWinds for alerting and monitoring.
  • Experience with LMS Systems, preferably Canvas and integrating LTIs into an LMS.
