Job Description

The position of Microwave Radiometer Calibration Specialist has been created to analyze microwave remote sensing systems, pre-flight specifications and characterizations of microwave radiometer systems, and the calibration and validation of spaced based microwave radiometric data.

We are seeking a highly skilled candidate with expertise in handling large volume data sets, knowledge of microwave radiative transfer, microwave radiometer design, microwave calibration methodology, and statistical analysis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in at least one or more of the following computer languages and/or analysis tools: FORTRAN, C/C++, Python, UNIX shell scripting, Matlab and/or IDL.

A B.S. (M.S., Ph.D. or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Atmospheric Science (Meteorology), Physical Oceanography, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics or related disciplines is required.

The estimated salary for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
