Job Description

As a Lead Site Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a liaison between customers, sales, suppliers, logistics, and management, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Listen to customer concerns, diffuse dissatisfaction, and quickly identify course of action to achieve first call resolution.
  • Represent the organization throughout customer locations with a professional demeanor.
  • Assist staff with workload to meet performance standards at customer sites, covering for absent employees, vacant positions, or increases in employee workload.
  • Assist in training of new hire employees and cross-training of existing staff, promoting growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements.
  • Collect, analyze, and reconcile various data to support the maintenance of records.
  • Perform stockroom duties, including receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, daily replenishment, and disbursements using handheld scanning devices or inventory management systems.
Requirements:
  • High School or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills to provide excellent customer service.
  • Displays an important level of confidentiality for both customer and company.
  • Possess a desire to serve the customer and the skills to engage with various levels of personnel.
  • Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.
Work Environment:

Work primarily at customer sites, in office environments to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations, and laboratory environments. Depending on the area of the building, personal protective equipment may be worn, including lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets, safety gloves, and safety glasses, steel toe shoes, bump hats, and/or safety glasses. Extensive walking may be required. Will be able to consistently lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds; occasional lifting of 50 pounds using equipment like pushcarts, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
