The Spear Group is seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Durham, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Specialist to provide technical support for our pharma manufacturing site's preventive and corrective maintenance area. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing inventory management, sourcing, and procurement of MRO items, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures, policies, and standard business practices.
  • Maintain proper management of spare parts inventory to improve site reliability.
  • Interact with hourly, salaried, and contract employees in routine matters, troubleshooting inventory management, and continuous improvement project work.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and coordinate safety, current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Documentation Practices, and environmental compliance programs.
  • Participate in root cause investigations, evaluate, and improve business processes and develop rationale for improvements.
  • Provide reports, data, and information to support on-going operations.
  • Frequently communicate with immediate supervisor about status of projects or assignments.
  • Develop strong relationships with site operations to ensure consensus on operational compliance issues.
  • Support routine safety and regulatory inspections.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of warehousing and inventory management experience
  • Sourcing and procurement of MRO items
  • Pallet jack operation and safety experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Good interpersonal skills including flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good analytical abilities, organizational skills, written and verbal communications.

Preferred:

Manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or automation experience.
