We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Product Analysis team at Abbott. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing failure analysis on explanted biomedical implant products and providing technical expertise to our Product Analysis Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform failure analysis on explanted long-term biomedical implant products.
- Develop and implement investigative protocols to identify root causes and perform circuit analysis.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Product Surveillance.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to less experienced lab staff.
- Support the definition of test equipment and quality responsibilities.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in performing failure analysis, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Relevant professional certification or designation.
- Comprehensive written and verbal communication, interpersonal, facilitation, presentation, quantitative, analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Advanced personal computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and specialized applications.
As a Senior Engineer at Abbott, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects, develop your technical expertise, and contribute to the success of our Product Analysis team. We offer a competitive salary range of $72,700.00 – $145,000.00, depending on location, and a comprehensive benefits package.
