Job Summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Market Security Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance physical security and safety practices across our campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular risk and vulnerability assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement mitigation strategies to minimize operational impact and disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations, including those set by the Joint Commission, OSHA, AHCA, and the State of Virginia.
  • Oversee the Market Emergency Preparedness Program, including developing and implementing emergency response plans and conducting regular drills and training exercises.
  • Supervise and train security team members across both campuses, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership, facilities, risk, legal, and other Sovah Health entities to develop integrated security strategies and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination on security-related matters.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a related field with 10 years of experience in security or law enforcement, and 12 years of supervisory experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with 12 years of experience in security or law enforcement, and 15 years of supervisory experience.
  • Verbal and written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competency with various business software programs, including Microsoft Office and data analytical tools.
