About the Role

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis stabilization and complete intakes and on-going evaluations for inmates
  • Participate in monthly behavioral health calls and work collaboratively with the medical team to determine overall treatment for each individual
  • Perform risk assessments and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including medical staff, community providers, and psychiatric hospitals
  • Assist in planning and implementing program goals and objectives
  • Prepare documentation, records, and reports as necessary
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Bachelor's level program or higher
  • Employment in a clinician/counselor/social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent preferred
  • Substance use certification (i.e., CAC, CADC, CAADC)
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
