Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including assessments of criminal, psychological, and substance abuse history.
  • Perform suicide risk evaluations with proper documentation.
  • Conduct therapy sessions and clinical interviews.
  • Identify signs of psychiatric disorders and collaborate with medical and support staff.
  • Write clinical reports, treatment plans, and participate in complex case consultations.
  • Document patient care and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Monitor patient progress and apply ethical standards.
  • Conduct mental status exams and health education.
  • Assist patients with entitlements and transitioning between care settings.
  • Facilitate patient releases and coordinate community support.
  • Provide written reports and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure safety and security measures are maintained.
  • Collaborate with various committees and adhere to reporting requirements.
  • Be on-call for emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
Requirements
  • Valid and active LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
  • At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years.
  • Must have the required certificates relevant to the assigned specialized area.
  • BLS certification from an American Heart Association provider.
