Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Trainee Restaurant General Manager (TRGM) to join our team. This position is tailored for individuals who aspire to take on the role of General Manager in our restaurants. The TRGM will participate in an extensive training program to gain knowledge in all facets of restaurant management, including operations, customer relations, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

The Trainee Restaurant General Manager is accountable for ensuring the restaurant operates profitably while adhering to McDonald's essential customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are rigorous, making this a significant role. The Trainee will collaborate with their supervisor to establish the restaurant's objectives and develop a strategy to meet those goals.

Additionally, the Trainee will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has a capable team for future leadership.

To achieve restaurant objectives, the Trainee does not work in isolation. They lead a team of Department Managers, each with specific responsibilities within the restaurant. This involves assisting Department Managers in setting their own targets, monitoring their progress, and providing guidance and support to enhance their departments. By improving departmental performance, the overall restaurant performance is elevated.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management capacity, ideally within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting principles.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Dedication to maintaining McDonald's standards and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Willingness to relocate as necessary for training and beyond.
