Position Summary

Our Roanoke, VA branch is expanding and is in search of a seasoned Environmental Services / ER Project Coordinator to enhance our team. With a strong emphasis on safety and quality, you will be responsible for organizing, leading, and successfully executing projects within the region. This role also involves contributing to the sales and marketing efforts by providing essential insights during the bidding and quoting processes. You will report directly to the Branch Manager and collaborate closely with the Territory Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a comprehensive range of project management activities, including planning, contract compliance, quality assurance, project accounting, health and safety oversight, and resource management.
  • Engage actively in the project bidding, quoting, and contracting phases, utilizing your professional expertise to ensure the accuracy and quality of contract terms and the ability to meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Territory Account Manager and Branch Manager on business development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding procurement and safety, managing expenses in accordance with the budget.
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor Hepaco team members assigned to your project portfolio; manage routine personnel matters and contribute to performance management processes.
  • Ensure the safe and proper operation of company-owned vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide timely and accurate project cost and revenue reporting, along with other financial data as required.
  • Uphold Hepaco's mission and values, demonstrating supportive behaviors in your daily activities.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field is preferred, along with five years of relevant experience in a leadership role. Alternatively, any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to effectively fulfill the position's responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and complete them with minimal supervision.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of effectively communicating and motivating team members across various organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Previous experience with Hyland OnBase is a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and/or eRailSafe security clearance, and successfully complete an 8-hour safety orientation and 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
