Job Overview

A reputable manufacturing firm is in search of a Production Process Engineer to enhance their operational capabilities. Benefits include: Direct Hire, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.

Objective of the Role: To ensure that manufacturing methodologies are effectively established and capable of fulfilling both internal and client requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Configure machinery and workflows to facilitate series production, ensuring alignment with project process calculations (PK).
  • Oversee all process and engineering modifications within the facility, collaborating with corporate headquarters. This includes the organization of electronic documentation and file management.
  • Administer SAP SCASE tasks, which involve creating Excel BOMs, SAP routings, SAP BOMs, and managing local MDM activities.
  • Conduct and present time studies, yamazumi, line-balancing, and initiate one-piece flow processes in partnership with the EPS department.
  • Enhance production and material flow throughout the manufacturing lines.
  • Support all new product launches and transitions within the facility, serving as a backup to the Launch Manager. Maintain project relocation checklists until completion.
  • Develop initial operator guidelines, standardized operating procedures, and first part releases.
  • Execute process trials and DOE studies on various processes and equipment.
  • Create technical documentation for manufacturing parameters and processing windows.
  • Generate technical documents (SOW) and drawings (CAD, etc.) for the construction of equipment and fixtures.
  • Tackle manufacturing challenges (scrap, productivity, and equipment issues) using effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Support EGA Systems: IATF 16949, ISO27001, ISO14001, Gemba, 2S1Y, etc.

Professional Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED along with an Associate's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience in Automotive, Industrial, Mechanical, or General sectors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Experience in process and product development is advantageous.
