Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector II to join our team at the Port of Seattle. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and contract requirements on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections and testing to verify compliance with project specifications and codes.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and control programs to ensure high-quality construction work.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of project progress, including inspection logs, daily reports, and other relevant records.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Participate in project planning, coordination, and scheduling to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in construction, general or special inspection, or a related field.
  • Associate's degree or vocational program in Pre-Engineering, Construction Management, or Building Inspection.
  • Proven technical knowledge of construction operations, methods, materials, costs, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
