At Prisma Health, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care in an acute inpatient setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in fostering patient/family-centered care, ensuring that every individual receives the highest level of attention and compassion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices and research in the nursing process.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and treatment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify patient, unit, and organizational priorities, incorporating them into the nursing process.
  • Adhere to compliance and policy/procedures, including licensure renewal, assigned training, employee health screenings, and patient confidentiality.
  • Ensure a safe environment, maintaining awareness of safety procedures, protocols, and patient care standards.

Accountabilities:

Assessment:

Collects data and completes nursing assessments, utilizing appropriate area and/or age-specific standards/policies and tools.

Planning/Outcomes:

Develops individual plans of care based on patient assessed needs, collaborating with the patient, family, and healthcare team.

Implementation:

Provides direct care to assigned patients, performing specific tasks based on organizational, departmental, and unit policies and procedures.

Evaluation:

Evaluates plan of care for effectiveness, documents progress toward expected outcomes, and revises the plan as needed.

Patient Family Education/Teaching:

Teaches patients and families, using language and terminology familiar to them, providing examples to clarify ideas and implementing and evaluating teaching plans.

Professional Accountability:

Evaluates own nursing practice, maintaining competency through education and professional activities, and ensures that written documentation and oral communication focus on pertinent information to support meeting patient/family care needs.
