Job Summary

We are seeking an International Payroll Specialist to oversee day-to-day payroll operations, support new and existing pay programs, and drive process improvement of the international payroll resources team. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of HR and Payroll professionals to support our international organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate payroll processing for several countries, including the UK, France, and the Netherlands.
  • Lead the maintenance of payroll information, including data collection, calculation, and entry, as well as check distribution, retroactive pays, and front-end edits.
  • Partner with our global payroll provider to implement payroll setup for new countries as we expand globally.
  • Coordinate with the internal finance team and/or payroll provider for disbursements of funds for employees, benefit providers, taxes, and other payments.
  • Follow up with Store Managers regarding incomplete and/or inaccurate paperwork/inputs.
  • Process statutory payments and identify and implement payroll process improvements and best practices.
  • Monitor payroll-related transactions and verify compliance with external and internal policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, working with both payroll and time and attendance systems.
  • 3+ years International multi-country payroll experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required.
  • France payroll experience is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask within time-sensitive constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to grow knowledge to support the business in taking on further payrolls as the business grows across Europe.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Fluent in English; other language skills such as Dutch or French are a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and good understanding of basic accounting principles.
