Code Enforcement Specialist

This position is responsible for on-site inspections of commercial and residential properties in the City, including the investigation of potential violations and the enforcement of municipal codes, ordinances, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify and document any non-compliance with municipal codes and regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and concerns from citizens, businesses, and other stakeholders regarding property-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other City departments, such as Business Services and Technical Support, to ensure effective enforcement of codes and regulations.
  • Provide education and outreach to property owners and occupants on municipal codes and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to City officials and other stakeholders.


This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of municipal codes and regulations, as well as experience in property inspection and enforcement.
