POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of IT Program Management Office (PMO) Governance is responsible for establishing and overseeing governance frameworks that facilitate the planning, prioritization, tracking, and alignment of technology initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The PMO plays a crucial role in managing and reporting on the technology portfolio, ensuring informed decision-making across the organization.
- Governance Oversight: Act as a pivotal contributor to the continuous improvement of PMO policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and oversight.
- Support Services: Manage technology requests and projects in their initial phases to guarantee alignment with organizational priorities and maintain transparency.
- Reporting Accuracy: Ensure the precision and completeness of reports to support functions and enhance transparency with stakeholders.
This role is highly visible and involves regular collaboration with senior leadership teams in both IT and Business sectors.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Manage the Technology Project Intake process to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Coordinate preliminary project and program reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Oversee the quality of the project sizing process and manage the IT project requests backlog.
- Maintain control over the Active Project Portfolio and oversee budget reviews and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with program and project reporting requirements, including regulatory obligations.
QUALITY ASSURANCE:
- Lead the Project Quality Assurance (PQA) review process to ensure adherence to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) standards.
LEADERSHIP:
- Manage a team of PMO Analysts and Coordinators aligned with business divisions and technology teams, fostering a culture of growth and talent retention.
PROJECT INITIATIVES:
- Engage in projects aimed at minimizing risks and implementing best practices that resonate with the company's culture, ensuring repeatable and auditable processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 12 years in IT Project Management or Project Management Office roles.
- At least 5 years in a highly regulated industry and 8 years managing cross-functional teams.
SKILLS:
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of financial forecasting, audit, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
