About the Role

The Church World Service is seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team in Washington DC. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful resettlement of Ukrainian SIVs, refugees, and other qualified immigrants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake interviews and client assessments to determine program eligibility and create personalized service plans.
  • Provide timely referrals to ensure clients receive individualized and group orientations, as well as access to social services, health and mental health, and immigration legal services.
  • Support clients with direct assistance funds distribution and tracking, and provide donations and other forms of assistance as needed.
  • Ensure clients have the necessary tools to meet their short-term goals and objectives, and assess and monitor client progress at regular intervals.
  • Ensure compliance with case file documentation and reporting requirements, including timely data entry in hard-copy files and databases.
  • Travel regularly throughout the service delivery area to conduct home visits, agency visits, and service provider visits.
  • Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities, and engage as a member of the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, anthropology, health, or a related field.
  • 1 year of experience working with refugees or immigrants, and previous case management experience.
  • Strongly required: bilingual in English/Ukrainian.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word and Excel) and internet applications.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Special Requirements

  • The successful candidate must pass a background check.
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • This position is primarily in the office and community.
