Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent

As a Hospice Volunteer, you will be an integral part of our team, providing essential support to patients and families. Your tasks will include:
- Assisting with patient care in accordance with the plan of care
- Providing companionship, shopping, respite, and other necessary services to patients/families
- Making a time commitment of 2-4 hours each week, as schedule permits
- Notifying us when a substitute is needed
- Using effective listening skills to provide emotional support to patients/families
- Reporting and recording any changes in the patient's condition or environment
- Providing accurate, timely, and objective documentation of volunteer activity
- Attending scheduled rehearsals and assigned bed-side or community presentations
- Integrating VNAHSR's HEALTH Matters values into your volunteer work
