Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to cultivate and oversee both established and prospective clients by marketing food and non-food products to meet sales and profitability targets.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the principal point of contact for customer relationships, engaging clients in value-added initiatives.
  • Utilize available resources to capitalize on significant market penetration opportunities and initiate new account openings.
  • Participate in a comprehensive training program designed for the Field Sales Manager role.

Essential Duties:
  • Enhance customer relationships within a collaborative sales framework.
  • Oversee delivery schedules as outlined by the logistics department; address any issues that arise during the order fulfillment process.
  • Manage accounts receivable in collaboration with the credit department, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market intelligence, networking, and participation in industry events.
  • Stay informed about market trends, product developments, and competitor offerings; share insights with clients as part of the service provided.
  • Travel to meet with existing and potential clients, ensuring product delivery and managing physical demands associated with the role.

Supervision:
No direct reports.

Internal Relationships:
Collaborate with District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.

External Relationships:
Engage with customers, vendors, and potential clients.

Work Environment:
Frequent outdoor engagement in various weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of sales experience preferred, particularly in the foodservice or hospitality sectors. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to build relationships and generate new business through cold calling. A competitive mindset with a focus on results, along with problem-solving and organizational skills, is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM tools is preferred.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses:
A valid driver's license is required, with a clean motor vehicle record.
