Position Overview:

The Scrum Master - Technical Project Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating Agile methodologies within our development teams while managing technical projects to ensure their successful and timely execution. This position requires leading Agile ceremonies, collaborating with diverse teams, managing project timelines, and eliminating obstacles to boost team productivity and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Facilitation:

  • Guide and facilitate daily Scrum activities, planning sessions, and Agile practices across the CALI organization.
  • Gather and present Agile metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that Agile ceremonies are well-organized and executed.
  • Utilize Agile expertise to create and implement program guidelines, templates, and tools.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment in a dynamic organization.

Project Management:

  • Oversee and coordinate multiple technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring adherence to scope and budget.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create and maintain documentation based on supplied requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure alignment between technical teams and business objectives, facilitating collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and best practices.

Impediment Resolution:

  • Identify and eliminate barriers that impede team progress and productivity.
  • Address and resolve conflicts and project issues within the team and with external parties.
  • Facilitate decision-making and problem-solving processes.

Technical Oversight:

  • Understand the technical aspects of projects and provide guidance on solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical alignment and feasibility.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence project teams without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
  • Technical background or experience in software development, engineering, or IT.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with software release concepts and best practices.
  • Broad experience in various project types such as business transformation, custom development, and IT transformations.
  • Familiarity with project execution methodologies including Agile, waterfall, and process redesign.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment:

The physical demands of this role require the ability to perform essential functions primarily in an office setting, utilizing a laptop/computer. Some travel may be necessary. The position involves extended periods of working on a computer, including standing, walking, and sitting.
