Position Overview:

The Scrum Master - Technical Project Manager plays a pivotal role in facilitating Agile methodologies within our development teams while managing technical projects to ensure timely and successful outcomes. This position involves leading Agile ceremonies, coordinating with diverse teams, managing project timelines, and eliminating obstacles to boost team efficiency and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Agile Facilitation:

  • Guide and facilitate daily Scrum activities, planning sessions, and Agile practices across the organization.
  • Gather and analyze Agile metrics to promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective organization and execution of Agile ceremonies.
  • Utilize Agile expertise to create and implement program guidelines, templates, and tools.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment in a dynamic environment.

Project Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee multiple technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring adherence to scope and budget.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to establish project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Ensure alignment between technical teams and business objectives, facilitating collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and best practices.

Impediment Removal:

  • Identify and eliminate barriers that impede team progress and productivity.
  • Address and resolve conflicts and project challenges within the team and with external parties.
  • Facilitate decision-making and problem-solving processes.

Technical Oversight:

  • Understand the technical aspects of projects and provide guidance on technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure technical alignment and feasibility.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to influence project teams without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
  • Technical background or experience in software development, engineering, or IT.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with software release concepts and best practices.
  • Broad experience in various project types, including business transformation, custom development, and IT transformations.
  • Familiarity with project execution methodologies such as Agile, waterfall, and iterative approaches.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work will primarily be conducted on a laptop/computer in an office environment. Some travel may be required. The position involves extended periods of working on a computer, with prolonged standing, walking, or sitting.
