Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Tech to join our team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. As a Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities- Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Director of Critical Care Nursing/Clinical Team Leader.
- Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Provide technical support to nursing staff, including EKG and phlebotomy services.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
- 1-3 years of experience as a nursing assistant, EKG Technician, Phlebotomist, and/or other related healthcare experience.
- High School Degree or equivalency.
- Completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program.
- American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- Nurse Aide certification, EKG certification, and/or Phlebotomy certification (preferred).
- Arrhythmia recognition program within 3 months of hire.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized, and reliable.
- Computer skills for hospital information system.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Adult: Early Adult, Middle Adult, Late Adult, Late, Late Adult (Over 80).
Per Diem position/7P - 7A shift.
