Strategic Treasury Management Specialist

About the Role:
This position is responsible for providing consultative services to large, sophisticated business clients with complex treasury needs. The primary focus is on Commercial Real Estate lending, including homebuilder finance, affordable housing, and large-scale construction and term lending.
- Develop sales plans to identify expansion opportunities with existing clients and Relationship Managers by preparing call schedules and presentations.
- Present consultative working cash flow presentations to prospects and clients.
- Lead client/prospect sales calls with Relationship Managers and Technical Solutions Consultants.
- Collaborate with business lines to implement new solutions for new and existing clients.
- Lead consultative conversations with new and existing customers to define solutions meeting their goals and business objectives.
- Mentor and coach junior TM consultants and associates, train new TM consultants as needed.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive practices, including technology, regulatory, and legislative changes related to treasury management.
- Partner with Product managers to develop new product solutions and enhance existing products and services.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations and apply to designated job responsibilities.
- Follow bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and complete required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of bank-written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations.
- Actively learn, demonstrate, and foster the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, marketing, business, or a related field.
- More than 10 years of experience in treasury management sales, service, and/or support.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of bank payment systems, treasury management solutions, and competitive practices.
- Proficient knowledge of sales principles and practices to effectively market treasury management solutions to prospects and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently develop and execute sales planning within assigned sales territory.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve established sales and customer satisfaction goals, demonstrate effective new business development strategies, and build/source new relationships.
- Proven ability to manage complex commercial account relationships and consult client best practices and operations to identify deficiencies to lead, develop, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to lead, develop, and present effective sales proposals.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software applications.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or willingness to obtain.
The estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $185,000 per year, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
