About the Role

As a Senior Planning Analyst at HII Corp, you will be responsible for preparing and coordinating plans and schedules for new or existing programs. You will determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets, and schedules, as well as manpower requirements. You will also support and participate in negotiations with customers, analyze the effects of projects on various areas, and resolve proposal preparation problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares and coordinates plans and schedules for new or existing programs
  • Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets, and schedules, as well as manpower requirements
  • Supports and participates in negotiations with customers
  • Analyzes the effects of projects on various areas, such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool
  • Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses progress against established plans and parameters

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
    • NNS Apprentice School graduate
    • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
    • Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
    • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
    • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
    • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have

  • Analyzes proposed Navy changes of product design to determine impacts to engineering products and creates cost estimates in support of those change requests
  • Reviews and analyzes released engineering products and coordinates changes with engineering and the value stream
  • Coordinates with the design team to ensure incorporation of the approved Navy changes
