Position Overview:
This role involves the preparation and coordination of plans and schedules for both new and ongoing programs. The successful candidate will assess, monitor, and review operational budgets, costs, and manpower requirements. Participation in negotiations with clients is also a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the impact of projects on various sectors such as Engineering, Facilities, and the workforce to identify the most efficient and cost-effective resource acquisition methods.
  • Address proposal preparation challenges and evaluate progress against established plans and benchmarks.
  • Formulate and suggest corrective actions, including schedule adjustments, manpower reallocations, and fund distributions.

Team Collaboration:
The Advanced Capabilities team is seeking a dedicated member to aid in the development of the next-generation Fast-Attack Submarine, SSN(X). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a new design initiative and influence the future of the Navy's premier attack submarine platform.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of relevant exempt experience; or a Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Equivalent qualifications may include: NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School graduate, or military experience at Paygrade E-5 or above.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in process, procedure, and checklist development.
  • Ability to track project progress and key program metrics.
  • Familiarity with developing Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for technical work plans.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel.
