About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Case Management at Duke Health. As a key member of our Case Management Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision and oversight of Case Managers and Clinical Social Workers in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Operationalize Case Management and Clinical Social Work workflow standards and processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and organizational standards.
  • Assess daily census assignment to ensure acuity and caseloads are equitable, and provide hands-on support for critical staffing needs.
  • Monitor productivity, and partner with directors and managers to conduct leadership rounds to support workflow and staff engagement.
  • Develop and oversee UM work schedules, and ensure adherence to all Case Management Department and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with CSU leadership on continuous process improvement, and participate in the development and presentation of projects and education topics to designated departments and provider groups.
  • Manage the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of Case Management Department staff, and conduct employee evaluations and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with licensure and certification requirements, and provide education and feedback to provider groups as needed.
  • Monitor monthly reporting, including UM productivity, readmission documentation, and denial management processes.
Requirements
  • BSN or MSW required, with 3-5 years of relevant management and Case Management experience.
  • Current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or current licensure as a licensed clinical social worker by the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
