We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at King & Prince Seafood. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our production lines, supervising production staff, and supporting production leads.
Key Responsibilities- Production Line Management: Monitor and supervise daily performance of production crew against predetermined goals and objectives, ensuring production line safety, quality, costs, staffing, productivity, yield, and trainings.
- Quality Assurance: Promote food safety and product quality, ensuring consistent compliance with all policies, initiatives, and manufacturing specifications.
- Compliance and Regulatory: Follow and ensure compliance with GMP's and HACCP policies and procedures.
- Training and Development: Develop and conduct training for production leads and operators, monitor startup and shutdown procedures, coordinate production efforts with the sanitation crew, verify accurate operator reporting and work order processing, and update training and operating manuals for current plant operation procedures.
- Leadership and Communication: Facilitate open lines of communication between employees, management, and executives, fostering an environment of openness and trust on the production floor.
- Staffing and Scheduling: Complete staffing plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, meeting targets, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and resolving problems.
- 3-5 years of experience leading a team in a high-paced environment, along with 1-2 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of industry safety standards in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a diverse work group, focused on results, employee engagement, decision making, and teamwork.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and management at multiple levels.
- Ability to work with and lead a multi-cultural and diverse workforce, with a preference for bilingual candidates.
- Solid organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong PC skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel) and the ability to learn manufacturing software programs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and demonstrate strong initiative.
- Competitive salary range: $80,000 to $90,000.
