Amazon is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the high-volume production operations for our communication satellite production. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing Lean initiatives to improve daily operations, ensuring safety and product quality, and driving operational excellence through data analytics and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Champion Amazon's Leadership Principles to drive a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and innovation.
  • Create a culture of safety and quality through active engagement and leadership of the technician workforce.
  • Establish great working relationships with design engineering, quality, EH&S, and supply chain teams.
  • Drive operational excellence through a combination of data analytics and Lean operations.
  • Lead implementation of personal performance management standards across multiple Kuiper Value Streams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience manufacturing space/aerospace hardware.
  • 3+ years of technical leadership roles in operations.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
About the Team:

Project Kuiper's mission is to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Our production of Kuiper's development satellites takes place in Redmond, WA, and we have announced a new full-rate production facility in Kirkland, WA that will meet the demands of the full constellation.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $254,500/year in our highest geographic market.
