Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our sales floor at Rural Store (Rural & Guadalupe). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute retail operations plans to achieve daily, monthly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
  • Monitor product levels and ensure that payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the sales floor and ensure that Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Work to de-escalate customer situations while finding an appropriate solution.
  • Ensure that store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
  • Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill's mission.
  • Lead the development and execution of training programs for Team Members.
  • Act as a key holder for the store, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
  • Process complex sales transactions, including customer returns.
  • Ensure that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • One-year work experience in Retail Management required.
  • One-year customer service experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
