Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

At Rural Store (Rural & Guadalupe), we are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to lead our sales floor team and drive business growth. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute retail operations plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales floor associates to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales goals.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, manage stockroom operations, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement sales strategies, promotions, and visual merchandising plans.
  • Manage store appearance, including visual merchandising, store displays, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process sales transactions, handle customer complaints, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Participate in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and processing inventory.
  • Assist with training and development of sales floor associates, including onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining store security.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of retail management experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
