Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our sales floor at Priest Store (Priest Drive & Eliott). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Retail Operations Plan: Develop and execute a comprehensive retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production.
  • Monitor Product Levels and Inventory Control: Monitor product levels (floor work, as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
  • Manage Payroll and Operating Costs: Ensure payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
  • Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Ensure Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers.
  • Lead Store Operations: Lead the day-to-day operations of the sales floor, ensuring that store locations are clean, well-kept, and reflect the Goodwill brand appropriately.
  • Partner with Community Businesses: Partner with community businesses and organizations to promote Goodwill mission.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Ensure that Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Manager are well-trained and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
  • Act as a Goodwill Ambassador: Serve as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
  • Process Complex Sales Transactions: Process complex sales transactions, including customer returns.
  • Ensure Compliance with Policies and Procedures: Ensure that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures.
  • Travel to Other Locations: Will need to travel to other Goodwill locations in order to assist other stores and to attend personal training and development classes.
  • Build a High-Performing Team: Build a high-performing team and responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Retail Management Experience: One-year work experience in Retail Management required
  • Customer Service Experience: One-year customer service experience required
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Background Check and Drug Screen: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
  • English Proficiency: Ability to speak and read English proficiently
