Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise laboratory instruments in Production areas, ensuring maintenance, calibration, and analysis (gauge R&R) meet quality standards.
  • Align with and support all aspects of EHS, 5S, and Continuous Improvement programs, processes, and strategic goals.
  • Support NPI, MOC, and procurement processes for the Quality function, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the creation, publishing, and maintenance of Test and Verification Methods, including Engineering tests and Validation plans.
  • Oversee in-process and final testing for raw materials, intermediate materials, and final products, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Identify and arrange the purchase of new test equipment, supporting the Quality function's growth and development.
  • Ensure Quality SAP Master data is entered properly, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
  • Comply with global and site QMS processes and procedures, adhering to ISO9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Drive the reduction of COPQ, customer complaints, and First Pass Reject rates, enhancing overall quality and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to Process Quality Technician(s), fostering growth and development within the team.
  • Support Customer Complaint, Product failure, and audit root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action implementations.
  • Support Supplier and external Quality activities, including supplier corrective action requests, audits, and evaluations.
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects, facilitating process improvement events that improve product quality and/or reduce process variation.
  • Responsible for customer specification reviews and ensuring the site meets agreed-upon customer specifications.
  • Review Quality KPIs with site leaders, driving informed decision-making and quality improvement.
  • Create and/or support Internal Audit plans and perform Internal Audits, ensuring compliance with QMS standards.
  • Drive Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) through data analysis and interpretation, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Support and execute completion of customer questionnaires, customer waiver requests, and quality agreement processes.
  • Responsible for restricting suspect material batches, ensuring product quality and integrity.
  • Implement and maintain site QMS in accordance with ISO9001 or other relevant standards and global QMS requirements.
  • Interact with other plants to resolve interplant issues and drive global initiatives, fostering collaboration and quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • 4-year undergraduate degree in science, engineering, or a related field of study, with a technical major preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality, process engineering, or a related role, with a strong leadership record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive outcomes.
  • Statistical analysis experience, including the utilization of Minitab.
  • Experience in facilitating problem-solving (root cause analysis) with corrective action through collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and other support organizations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with knowledge of Quality Standards, including ISO, IATF, and FDA.
  • A proven track record of working effectively in a matrix organization and in cross-cultural environments, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Willingness to join global calls and meetings outside of normal work hours as needed.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to drive improvement across a technical workforce.
