About the Role

This Quality Control Inspection Tech position at II-VI Incorporated involves ensuring the quality of precision optics through visual inspection and measurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision optics and experience with testing and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and spectrophotometers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections and measurements to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and calibrate optical spectrophotometers and other optical instruments.
  • Assist coating technicians with tasks and perform inspection and cleaning of optical components.
  • Unpack and pack delicate uncoated and coated optical components.
  • May assist with coating processes and perform quality control checks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience with precision optics.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of testing and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and spectrophotometers.
  • Familiarity with MIL, ANSI, and other specifications.
  • Experience with working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, leaning, walking, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a cleanroom environment and be required to follow site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.

This position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards.
