Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Project Enhancement Corporation (PEC) is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team in Germantown, MD. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide high-level administrative support to our team, ensuring timely and effective responsiveness to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide secretarial and general administrative support to ensure timely and effective responsiveness to customers.
  • Perform extensive typing, proof-reading, and administrative quality control review.
  • Handle classified and sensitive documents, as well as routine functions associated with file/mail rooms.
  • Maintain a central files management system and ensure all files are in accordance with the current Records Inventory and Disposition Schedule (RIDS).
  • Sort, package, and dispatch incoming and outgoing mail and internal departmental distribution.
  • Interface with the DOE Germantown mail room and retrieve file and archive boxes containing documents.
  • Receive and send facsimile documents and create and maintain an electronic classified and unclassified reference library of previously generated documents.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years of administrative experience required.
  • College-level education may substitute for professional experience, but administrative skills are still required.
  • Detailed knowledge of office correspondence software programs and automated office systems, including email and the Internet, is required.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance and prioritize and manage multiple tasks and subject areas.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform work in an office environment, including extensive use of computers.
  • DOE site access requires a U.S. citizen with an ACTIVE DOE Q security clearance or DOD TS equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the DOE complex.
  • Knowledge of DOE sites and types of operation.
  • Knowledge of computer graphics software and Federal Government records management requirements and procedures, including RIDS.
