Job Summary:

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
  • Review and document medication administration records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure medication updates are received and implemented.
  • Ensure that medications are passed according to schedule and that residents are aware of their medication regimen.
  • Document and report any medication-related incidents or concerns to the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations regarding medication administration.
  • Participate in training and education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest medication administration techniques and best practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in medication administration and management preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with seniors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
