Job Title: IT Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Application Engineer to join our team at Belcan. As an IT Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying software applications that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand client requirements and translate them into software application features.
  • Design and test creative prototypes according to specifications and as needed.
  • Write high-quality procedures to ensure complete installation and verification of new application/software requests.
  • Work with multiple teams to validate network and integration compliance, configuration, and installation approach before launch.
  • Support QA teams in conducting functional and non-functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot and validate new software applications.
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update, and add new features.
  • Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent software application design.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen and have (or be eligible to obtain) a DoD Secret security clearance, with investigation date within the last five years and IA certifications at or above the level of Security+.
  • Proven experience as an application administrator, architect, or engineer.
  • Experience in designing and building applications.
  • Excellent understanding of software design and principles.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
  • Great attention to detail and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field; MSc/MA will be appreciated.
  • Certified application of any discipline is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools.
