Job Title: Blood Bank Supervisor

Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Blood Bank Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the blood bank, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of laboratory personnel, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory directors and technical supervisors to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of laboratory operations, including quality control and quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or a related field.
  • Current New York State Department of Education license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT).
  • Minimum of 4 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience, with supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
