Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Blood Bank Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the blood bank, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of laboratory personnel, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with laboratory directors and technical supervisors to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of laboratory procedures and test results.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or a related field.
- Current New York State Department of Education license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT).
- Minimum of 4 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience, with supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.
