Job Title: Blood Bank Supervisor

Catholic Health Service is seeking a highly skilled Blood Bank Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the blood bank, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the blood bank team, ensuring that all staff members are trained and competent in their roles.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve technical problems and ensure that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
  • Prepare and present reports to the laboratory director and other stakeholders on the operation of the blood bank.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or a related field.
  • Current New York State Department of Education license as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT).
  • Minimum of 4 years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience subsequent to NYSED licensure as Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT).
  • Supervisory/administrative experience preferred.
