Position Overview

North Point Technology is seeking experienced Test Engineers with TS/SCI clearance to contribute to a vital mission.

Ideal candidates will be proactive, quick-thinking, and inquisitive problem solvers, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, along with the following qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in software testing engineering
  • Background in test engineering within a government contracting context
  • Familiarity with various stages of software development: infrastructure, design, development, testing/QA, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Ability to systematically document current testing capabilities, performance metrics, and testing requirements
  • Collaborative team player – support and work alongside other testers, developers, and the operations integration team
  • Excellent communication skills – articulate, concise, and capable of maintaining composure during challenging discussions with clients and colleagues
  • Driven to seek innovative methods for enhancing testing performance and coverage
  • Possession of Security+ Certification; or willingness to obtain within the first six months of employment
  • Experience in writing and executing automated back-end tests

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting tests, including the development of test plans and documentation of outcomes
  • Familiarity with collaboration with customer testing organizations
  • Proficiency in test automation using tools like Selenium and various scripting languages
  • Experience with web applications and services

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile development programs
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks
  • Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with command-line scripting, such as Bash
  • Any exposure to areas such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Docker/Kubernetes, Document-Oriented Data Stores (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), OGC WMS/WFS, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, RESTful APIs, and Git
