Position Overview:
This role is focused on the administration and management of network systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and monitoring of the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design and implementation of network solutions for the Department of Finance & Administration.
  • Manage a network environment supporting over 200 users, ensuring efficient operation and support.
  • Utilize fail/fix management software to restore network services and maintain the CISCO Firewall.
  • Conduct monitoring and troubleshooting of network outages and performance issues.
  • Implement automated network management tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Administer both physical and virtual servers in Microsoft and Linux environments.
  • Ensure regular backups and data recovery processes are in place and functioning.
  • Provide Tier 2 support, managing escalations and coordinating with vendors as necessary.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and infrastructure for reference and compliance.
  • Facilitate training programs for users to enhance their understanding of network systems.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in enterprise-level network administration (10+ years).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Server and Windows Operating Systems (10+ years).
  • Strong background in managing Cisco Firewalls, Routers, and Switches (8+ years).
  • Experience with Exchange Server and Office 365 support (5+ years).
  • Knowledge of SharePoint implementation and Azure administration (3-5 years).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and network management software (3+ years).
  • MCSE certification is required.

Additional Skills:
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and distributed computing environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues.
