Corporate Paralegal Job Description

Renuity is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Paralegal to join our team in Charlotte. As a Paralegal at Renuity, you will play a critical role in supporting the Legal Department and management team in various aspects of corporate law, including process improvement, corporate governance, entity management, and legal research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage legal processes for new entity formation, including creating entity foreign qualifications and DBAs.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on various issues related to the home improvement industry, including construction law, state-by-state licensing requirements, and consumer protection laws.
  • Maintain up-to-date matrixes of various state requirements and regulations.
  • Review and summarize regulations to provide accurate and concise summaries to management and other departments.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, such as state licensing applications and lien filings.
  • Assist in the management of litigation and dispute resolution, including developing response strategies and preparing discovery requests.
  • Communicate with internal business leaders, government agencies, and outside counsel to ensure timely and professional exchange of information.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of legal documents and case information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a corporate paralegal in-house, supporting a legal team.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and governance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software.
