Health and Safety Director

Strivector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director - HSE - Health & Safety to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to our HSE team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving a culture of safety and excellence within our company.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide collaborative leadership to the HSE team, supporting operational readiness and startup initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Senior Director HSE to identify and define necessary capabilities, capacity, and priorities for building a strong HSE organization and culture.
- Support project teams in delivering facilities as a key stakeholder, providing feedback and support on HSE-related design decisions and startup plans.
- Develop and adapt the HSE organizational structure to provide correct and capable resources to support the site to full-scale GMP manufacturing.
- Build technical relationships with corporate/global/Indianapolis departments and support strategic corporate initiatives at the site level.
- Provide functional leadership and HSE program ownership to support the HSE management system and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.
- Define and support site HSE priorities and roadmap, integrating cross-functional partners as needed.
- Contribute to the development and management of the site's HSE business initiatives, HSE Plan, and HSE metrics.
- Ensure internal and external HSE reporting requirements are continually met.
- Have an external focus, benchmarking best practices across the company's network and externally.
- Support HSE team members' technical and leadership development.
- Escalate HSE issues, as appropriate, to line management and corporate HSE management.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing HSE teams and programs.
- Experience with implementing and/or managing emergency response and security programs in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with implementing and managing environmental compliance programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Strong ability to form effective relationships at all levels and build strong team cultures to ensure a safe and successful work environment.
- Experienced leadership of HSE programs and HSE management systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in API manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with implementing and managing industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety programs.
- Experience interfacing with HSE-related regulatory agencies.
- Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry.
- Minimum Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing HSE teams and programs.
