Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively engage with residents, the public, and team members.
  • Oversee the business office personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Previous accounting experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance is essential.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and customer service abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Understanding of nursing home operational functions.
  • Input new hires, pay rate adjustments, and termination details into the system for all staff.
  • Review applications and resumes; assess applicant skills and provide recommendations regarding qualifications.
  • Advise management and staff on human resource policies.
  • Assist departments with payroll-related inquiries; guide and support on current HR procedures regarding employee records; coordinate activities and serve as a liaison between departments and staff.
  • Provide insights and consultations on employment matters, including transfers, promotions/demotions, layoffs, placements, and contractor status.
  • Oversee employee events to ensure compliance with Employee Recognition Guidelines.
  • Prepare, maintain, or monitor various personnel and risk management programs/files.
  • Perform various office support tasks such as drafting confidential correspondence and resolutions; preparing spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Interpret, apply, and explain company policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Must meet qualifications for company insurance, pass a DMV check, and demonstrate good defensive driving skills.
