As a Clinical Nursing Manager, you will oversee and guide the nursing personnel within your designated area. The Clinical Nursing Manager guarantees that nursing operations are executed in alignment with industry standards and Northeast Family Health Care LLC policies. You will collaborate with the leadership team to ensure that high-quality care is consistently delivered to our patients.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Pennsylvania is required.
  • Continuing education credits must be maintained as mandated by the Board of Nursing.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and BLS is essential.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience in the behavioral health field is necessary.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Four (4) years of experience in substance use treatment is advantageous.
  • Four (4) years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise nursing teams, including medication management, patient admissions, documentation, inventory oversight, and laboratory services. Organize and lead supervision and team meetings with the Nurse Manager and/or lead nurse at least monthly or more frequently as required by patient health needs.
  • Provide coverage as necessary to ensure all shifts are adequately staffed.
  • Establish expected clinical outcome goals and develop tools to measure these outcomes.
  • Implement and uphold a communication strategy to keep all team members informed of critical updates.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining accountability for medications in collaboration with pharmacy staff, adhering to DEA and state regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Diversion Control Plan at all times within the facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists and Executive Directors to ensure accurate inventory counts, proper medication storage, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the formulation of policies and procedures regarding medication administration and self-administration.
  • Facilitate training for nursing staff, including new hires, on medical and health/safety protocols, as well as the proper use of medical equipment.
  • Administer and dispense medications under physician direction.
  • Ensure adherence to the treatment plans established by the physician or Medical Director.
  • Conduct Mantoux testing and schedule patient appointments for physician consultations, lab work, and referrals for follow-up care.
  • Evaluate patient responses to treatment and medication, adjusting dosages as necessary.
  • Participate in case conferences, providing professional insights.
  • Order medical supplies and maintain accurate inventory records as per regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records, including individual charts, medication administration records, progress notes, and physician orders.
  • Educate staff, community members, and patients regarding medication effects and health matters.
  • Refer patients to specialized care facilities and follow up on their treatment progress.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
